Make yourself at home
We offer a wide range of conveniently located on-campus accommodation options. With over 500 beds for boys and 300 for girls, there is something to suit everyone’s needs. Each facility has its own dedicated management team to ensure your welfare, along with access to a doctor and nurse for first aid and minor ailments. Ambulance services are available around the clock.
Catering
Our catering services are supervised by the Hostel Committees, and the menu is primarily vegetarian. We provide high-quality, hygienic meals to students and staff, offering both value and convenience. All hostel residents are expected to strictly follow the rules set by the Warden and Resident Tutors.

Hostel Fee:

     Rs. 5,000 + 5,000 (Registration Fee) for Non A/C Rooms (including GST)

     Rs. 6,000 + 5,000 (Registration Fee) for A/C Rooms (including GST)

Hostel Fee can be paid in two installments semester wise.

Health Care

The Health Care Center on campus caters to students' primary and secondary health needs, with two resident doctors and a trained nurse. The center provides regular medical check-ups, vaccination services, and comprehensive health support in collaboration with  State govt. Hospital, along with insurance services for students.

1.    Counselling Services: At Sikkim international Univercity, we prioritize the emotional well-being and mental health of our students. Our professional counselling team provides individualized support to help students navigate personal challenges, manage stress, and foster a positive mind-set for both academic and personal success. Regular workshops on mental health awareness further empower students to build resilience and emotional strength.
2.    Financial Support: We believe in providing equal opportunities to all students, irrespective of their financial background. Sikkim international Univercity offers a variety of scholarships, fee waivers, and financial aid programs to support meritorious and economically disadvantaged students. 6.    Civil Services Training and UPSC Focus: Recognizing the aspirations of students aiming for public service, SIU offers specialized civil services training. Expert-led coaching equips students with the knowledge and skills required for competitive examinations.
We also offer a unique B.Tech. + Civil Services Programme starting in the first year. This innovative program allows students to prepare for the UPSC Civil Services Examination while pursuing their engineering courses. On successful completion, students receive a minor degree in humanities. 
7.    Entrepreneurship and Incubation Support (E-Cell): ): Sikkim international Univercity Entrepreneurship Cell (E-Cell) nurtures aspiring entrepreneurs by providing mentorship, incubation facilities, and seed funding. Through regular talks, workshops, and seminars, we help students develop business plans, conduct market analysis, and scale their startup ventures. We also partner with the Ministry of Small and Medium Enterprises (MSME), Government of India, for initiatives that promote entrepreneurship.
The university's Incubation Centers provide students with a platform to experiment with innovative ideas. Our Campus Recruitment Training (CRT) program offers 200 hours of rigorous training, focusing on quantitative ability, verbal reasoning, soft skills, and mock interviews conducted by in-house and external experts. 9.    Higher Education Assistance: 10-15% of students aspire to pursue advanced studies, SIU provides guidance on entrance exams, application processes, and recommendation letters for prestigious institutions worldwide. 10.    Industry Collaborations and Internships: SIU has established strategic MoUs with industries to facilitate curriculum development, collaborative research, and student internships. Our partnerships with leading organizations like ZOHO, Hetero Biopharma, VEDA IIT, and Korea Tech ensure that students gain exposure to real-world industry practices. Holistic Training
As reflected in its vision statement, the institutional mission is clearly aligned to the national goal, as it strives to prepare knowledgeable and employable professionals, who are psychologically strong, emotionally balanced, and socially conscious, so that they are able to enjoy a productive and successful career in future. Program wise eligibility criteria’s are mentioned below.

Keeping this in mind the institution provides a wide gamut of activities for the holistic development and progression of the students. As a part of this, special care is taken in conducting various training programs for students to enhance their capability.
Language & Communication Skills
Since most of the students are from rural areas, the institution takes appropriate steps to improve their oral communication and proficiency in English. Each student undergoes training in three phases starting from their first year to third year that enriches their communication skills. The training programs are as follows:
TECHNICAL ENGLISH COMMUNICATION (TEC)
This program focuses majorly on improving the basic vocabulary that is required for a student to participate actively in the classroom discussions. It helps to:
•    Strengthen the reading and listening comprehension skills of student to follow the academic discourse in the engineering classroom.
•    Have a command of basic vocabulary related to different subject matters.
•    Have a grasp on the mechanics of writing and expressing the ideas through construction of simple texts.
ENGLISH PROFICIENCY & COMMUNICATION SKILLS (EPCS)
The objective of this program is to introduce the specific uses of English to students and to improve the language proficiency of students in communicating the meaning verbally, as well as writing. In this programme, all applicants must be able to demonstrate that they have the English proficiency required for their individual program.

Students are provided with a platform to enhance their Reading, Writing, Listening, and Speaking skills. These are measured by standardized and internationally recognized tests, such as Cambridge English Language Assessment which are usually marked on a band score. Preliminary English Test (PET) is one of such Cambridge English Qualifications for which students are provided with an opportunity to attend through this program. It is the English language exam that shows you have mastered the basics.

English level B1 is the third level of English in the Common European Framework of Reference (CEFR), a definition of different language levels written by the Council of Europe. In everyday speech, this level would be called "intermediate", and indeed, that is the official level descriptor in the CEFR.

Soft Skills
Soft skills are given utmost priority in any business context and these skills are becoming truly significant for business growth and career development of job aspirants. In this respect, we train and encourage our young aspiring students to become professionals with dynamic leadership qualities and managerial skills. The training provides holistic development of the students to see them as future dynamic managers.

Understanding importance of the soft skills at global work place and to bridge the skill gap between the industry requirements and academics; SIU' Training Cell has designed a crash training course for the B.Tech 2nd year students. Course Duration: 20 to 25 hours in a semester.

•    Explaining the concepts and providing hands on Practice in work sheets
•    Exposure to TEDx videos and other eminent persons talks to develop presentation skills
•    Interactive sessions along with the presentations to develop students' speaking examinations skills
•    Conducting Mock interviews to develop presence of mind and build confidence
•    Group Discussions to develop team and leadership skills

On successful completion of the course every student will be awarded appreciation certificate and provided feedback for the individuals.
Trainers:
The Training Cell has a well-equipped qualified in-house training faculty to train the students. The faculty are ready to serve at the students' needs and create friendly learning environment to inculcate the soft skills. In addition to this, external resource persons are also invited to train the students in various aspects.
